Legacy Achievement Project
Artistic Creator: Fred Ferris, President, Action Photo
How It Works
• Legacy recipients are selected by students (peer-to-peer) and school administrators based on Achievement (GPA
3.0 and higher), Leadership, Community Service and Moral Character.
• Their portraits showing career choices and bios are pictured on posters throughout the school they attend.
• Each poster tells a unique story about a student who is well-rounded and prepared to take the next steps in pursuit
of lifelong success.
Since the project’s inception, over 175 students have been selected as Legacy role models and their message of self-confidence and drive to achieve continues to resonate today.
In 2008, Action Photo funded and launched the Legacy Achievement Project.
The mission of the Legacy Project is to identify “ordinary” middle school (8th grade) and high school (12th grade) students who work through life issues to give true meaning to being selected as Role Models and High Achievers. The message conveyed is to motivate other students to get good grades, overcome obstacles, be thankful, and help others while they are in school.
Legacy recipients leave a legacy of inspiration and leadership.
